Which is the better camera?

I am currently considering the Olympus Stylus 1010 and the Nikon Coolpix S550. I am looking for a compact point and shoot with good shutter speed, lots of zoom for close-ups and good picture quality for ~$250 or less. Which is best?

  1. the nikon are the newer and better cameras right now. They're second in place to canon cameras

    But I have a Kodak EasyShare M583 that works just great and can zoom 3x, fast shutter speed, etc.

  3. nikon is more prestegious brand and more reliable and lasts way longer!
