Anyway, for a girl I'd say Berry and for a boy, maybe Sam or Russia.

Well , i was going to suggest Sherlock because they like to investigate and are able to get into things most pets wouldn't. But, I see you've already decided on the  names you want to consider.  of those I'd pick berry for a girl. Nothing on the list strikes me as  something i'd like for a boy name.
