Which national anthem is the best?

I've been watching the Olympics and I think Australia has the best anthem lyrically (I'm an aussie) lol

Just wondering which anthem you like the best considering lyrics and tune.

Include a piece of lyric translated in eng if you want

I am a true blue Aussie but Oh Canada is better and very moving. Also, the Canadians have also had thier own flag since 1967 - we have a bit of catching up to do. Gold medal to the Maple Leafs for that one.  Well done.

But I agree,

New Zealand has a really good anthem.

The combination of Maori and English is awesome.

I reckon it's so good, I learnt the words.

I like the Portuguese anthem, not just because i'm Portuguese but because it's about the country and the people and not religion or God like some. Maibe the tune isn't that good but I like the lyric.

i thought this was a great question until you named your own national anthem as the best (lame and predictable and allows EVERY other person to cheese out and answer with their home nations). but my answer, Georgia's national anthem is awesome. (and i'm american)

Being proud and having love of your country makes your own national anthem the best. I'm from the United States and to me, my anthem represents freedom and the stuggle we had to get it and keep it. Other countries anthems are beautiful and meaningful but do not bring the emotion and feeling evoked when I hear "The Star-Spangled Banner" or any other patriotic American song.

Interesting.  You can sing Australia's lyrics to Canada's tune perfectly - it totally fits.  They have similar lyrics too actually.

Not going to lie, I like Canada's anthem better - it's simpler.  But most people do perfer their own country's.
