Which part of australia is best???

i would like to visit for awhile...which part would a tourist visit...which attraction do they do best.

Melbourne. The inner city has alot of shopping, restaurants, historical buildings and great sporting grounds to go check out. The city also is very clean, has a great public transport system and there is little crime. Then in the outer city there is many wildlife parks and some really scenic places. Take a look at: MCG, Puffing Billy, Bourke Street Mall,Ballarat

It is all good, tourist usually start in Sydney than go to Cairns and the Gold Coast in Queensland, and down to Melbourne Victoria. It just depends on how much time you have here

Tourist usually go to the gold coast, they have the theme parks, great barrier reef and assorted bits. However every part of Australia has something different to offer, most of the capital cities are the same like shopping eating etc it depends on if you will be leaving the cities and if so what type of thing you want to see. We have a great out back, fantastic tourist roads in Vic, the whole part is great and tassie is a gem, but for the touristy stuff QLD is probably most attractive for a real view of aus the rest of it is excellent.

That's like asking what part of Europe is the best?!  I mean really - this is such a huge, vast land with so many different areas.  What are you interested in seeing?  Do you like the cities or the country more?  What are your reasons for coming?  And where do you come from?  (For example - if you come from LA then our theme parks in QLD are not going to be very impressive to you!  And if you live in Vancouver then Threadbo is probably not going to be so impressive either.  However, if you live in London then I think Ullaru would be an awesome sight to behold... and like nothing you have seen before.)
