Which should I buy?

We want a vehicle that has seating for at least 7 up to 9. Should we buy a bigger SUV since they are so cheap right now and pay more for gas, or should we buy a cross-over type or smaller SUV that has less "room" but gets better gas mileage...

  1. You're going to be hard pressed to find a 'smaller' SUV that will fit 0.  Our Expedition does and let me tell you, it is EXPENSIVE to drive right now.  It costs us about $70 to fill it up.  We take our Subaru everywhere now and have found that we don't really NEED all of the room that we thought we did.  It's nice to have the Expedition when we take the boat to the lake or when we're transporting Boy Scouts, but when we get rid of the boat, we're getting rid of the gas guzzling monster.

  2. Personally, I would go with the smaller and better gas mileage one.

Gas is not going to ever get cheaper.  It will stay high and the larger high priced Suv's will soon become totally uneconomical to drive and sit in the garages.

  3. GMC Acadia

    Saturn Outlook

    Ford Taurus X

    Hyundai Santa Fe

    Honda Pilot

The Acadia & Outlook will seat 8 comfortably

still handle well and ride quietly.

to hold 9 adults you'll need to go with a  Ford Expedition.

and if you have 9 and gear the EL version but

    don't ask about mpg (13)

the Suburban was once the King of the Road but it's tired and outdated and at $50K+ way overpriced but short of a 15  passenger van about the only other thing that holds 9.

  4. Best thing to do is make a list of suvs you might like and test drive them all this costs nothing and means you can decide easier try a LEXUS RX400H there sleek, sporty or the Volvo xc90 sporty, safe, runs well on petrol great car hope this helps

  5. well it depends on how you are economicly and your preferances of vehicles, but i would go with the one with better gas mileage.

  6. Get the smaller vehicles as long as you don't have to dislocate your limbs just to fit in the 2nd and 3rd rows.

  7. u should go with the one that has less room but is better on gas

    also better on the environment
