  1. i have a Yamaha R6 and it keeps up with the R1 but R1 top speed is greater, My R6 is 182mph tops, 110 in first gear.

    AND EBAY IT!

  2. Sorry, but you must have clicked the wrong section, as this is the motorcycle RACING questions.

The best advice I can give you is you to post this question again.

You would get a better response in....

    "Cars & Transportation"> "Motorcycles"

  3. Typical squid.  Make sure you get life insurance.

  4. Dude, if you have to ask this question, you should re-think the type of bike you should buy.  Try doing a little research.  But a magazine or two, and read them.  If you like sport-bikes, start out with a Ninja 250 or an EX500, or maybe even an old FZR600.  The difference between a Hyabusa and an R1 is like compairing a 747 to a P51 mustang.  They're both bikes, but built for 2 very different kinds of riding.  And I guarantee you you will crash within 6 months of buying it.  I've seen it 100 times before.  This is 25 years of riding, 16 years of street riding and 3 years of club roadracing talking to ya.  Start small.  You'll gain more respect and actually learn how to ride the thing.  I've seen guys on BMW enduro bikes smoke past guys on R1's at a trackday cause the guys on the R1's simply didn't know what they were doing.  Having the fastest/most expensive bike means nothing.  I'd rather hang with the dude with the old $2000 p.o.s. that can smoke dudes on their new shiny $11,000 rides.  And get life insurance.

  5. hayabusa is the fastest stock superbike (200+), but it handles worse than the other's because of it's large size ($11,999). The R1 handles the best, and could probably get you up to 200 or so easy($11,699). The kawasaki ninja 10R is going to handle better than the haybusa as well, but i'm thinking the R1 will still beat it in a street race ($11,549). All and all, speed doesn't matter if one driver is better than another. I've seen an R6 smoke an R1, just because the bike is made to go faster, doesn't mean someone knows how to use its full potential

  6. Easy Wiggysan, Superbikes are racable bikes I myself would go for the Kawasaki Ninja, due to the flashy color skeem. Most superbikes have a top speed close to 180 mph depending on how well they have been tuned. Cost wise, you are talking on the range of between $10,000-14,000 which just about matches the top RPM on these babies.
