Question:

Whirlpool Stove/Oven Beeping?

Today my Whirlpool Stove/Oven started beeping repeatedly non stop! (at first I thought it was the microwave telling me it was done) It was the same "beep" sound as when the oven heats up and lets you know its reached the right temp... only it wouldn't stop. And the oven was off! I have not even used the stove since yesterday, and its been maybe a week since I used the oven! I have no clue what could be wrong.

After searching online it seems that stoves give off "beep codes" to help people troubleshoot problems. But most information shows that it also gives a code on the display. My stove is too old to have a display. So the beeping is the only clue.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

THANKS!!!

  1. the touch pads could be bad or the board is bad, shut off the circuit breaker until you get it fixed.

  2. The electronic control for the oven is defective and if its not too old, you can find one here -

  3. You may have accidentally set the timer; hit the reset.
