  1. Edison did not invent the light bulb, he only improved it or perfected it. Humphry Davy, an English scientist, was the first to make a electric light using a battery and a piece of carbon.

  2. thomas alwar edision

  3. if u mean da light bulb, its was edison. thomas alva edison

  4. While Joseph Swan or Thomas Edison are often credited as the inventor of the incandescent bulb, they were not the first to make one, merely the ones to make the first commercially practical bulbs (in 1873 and 1880 respectively). Sir Humphry Davey demonstrated incandescent light at the Royal Institute in 1802, 78 years before Edison's bulb. In 1840 Warren de la Rue demonstrated the first evacuated bulb (with the air pumped out of the enclosure to prolong the life of the filament), and in 1874 Henry Woodward and Mathew Evans demonstrated a bulb filled with inert gas (nitrogen, in this case). In total there are some 22 inventors, scientists and engineers who demonstrated incandescent lamps before Swan and Edison.

  5. Sir Thomas Edison
