Who's the most influential philosopher?

the one that has made the most contribution to society? Ataturk said that after all his reading and studying of philosophy that he had yet to come across a great thinker who offered real solutions to the problems of society. do you think this is true about philosophers, or is there a philosophy that does offer real solutions?

i don't consider communism a solution btw.

Perhaps it was Socrates or Aristotle. It probably wasn't Confucius just for the fact that he thought women were always lesser than men. He did have some other great thoughts though, such as respect for your elders.
