  1. "Do not go gently into this dark night..."  I do not recall the poet.  Your thoughts are not original, and you are not alone.  Yet why would you dwell on this?  It will come.  Death is actually difficult for those left behind.  For the person who dies, opportunities in one direction stop - whatever else may occur, we may disagree on.  Suicide is like refusing to play - actually, that is just what it is.  It isn't looked on well, and with good reason.  It's very hard on those left behind.

This sounds like quite an emotional jag.  Get around other people or eat, exercise, and sleep until you get over it.  Then, develop friends you can talk to when this hits again.

  2. i'm not scared so much of dying...as of the effect my death will have on my loved ones, in the same way that i am scared of my friends and family dying. it's this fear that has led me to an absolute resolve never to commit suicide...though now that strikes me as a morbid resolve...

  3. Those who fear death deep inside dout heaven and h**l  those who believe know theres a place better than here i myself dont fear death due to ive read the bible and i believe in it even though i dont believe in the churches of these days . They seem to worship what they want to so i stay clear of them i recomend to you get a bible read it and make your own conclusion trust me if you read it and trust the word of god youll fell more atease with death

  4. the fear of death is perfectly natural- if we didn't all feel it we wouldn't avoid dangerous situations and probably wouldn't live to reproduce- in fact there probably wouldn't be a human species.

I'm atheist and what you've just described is one of the hardest things for an atheist to come to terms with- we have no afterlife- no eternity in heaven e.t.c.

But, on the bright side we have no eternal damnation, and can relish the thought that whatever we do here while we exist somehow means more because we do it of our own free will free from fear of punishment or promise of heavenly delights, and of course this is the first and only chance you will ever have to enjoy it.

When it's over there's no regrets, because you won't exist to regret anything.

  5. I am not scared of death but I must tell you that I am extremely scared of a similar situation with my boyfriend and my family.

I guess that's what is called love.

  6. Yeah i get really scared at the prospect im going to die. I don't believe in heaven which makes it worse because what happens to us. Do we just go. Were gone thats it.

I would like to die in my sleep so i dont expect it or a big illness so im in the newspapers and i could say goodbye to people

Im really really scared about dying. I dont want to be murdered.

Were not going to be here one day

    It's scary

    Sorry i've written a load of c**p

  7. Death itself I am not afraid of. What scares me is the process of death itself. If we do just rot in the ground after death then there is nothing to worry about is there cos we won't be aware of it.

If there is a life after death..... well now......that's another matter entirely.

And a very good evening to you too!

    Best wishes. UK

  8. The fear of death is instinctual and is in all of us, no matter how much some people try to deny it.

Since it's going to happen regardless, it's best to stop worrying about it and start focusing on other things like careers, health, wisdom, etc.

  9. I'm More afraid pf my  body turning into bones and being stuck in a coffin but i try not to worry about it because i have to live life to the fullest ( i experienced the death of 2 close family members and I'm  only 13 but i try to keep a positive out look of life

  10. I'm not afraid of death at all, I am seriously afraid of how I get there though.

    :)

  11. yes I know what you mean, I get these feelings too. And yes, I do wonder what happens after death, what questions are answered. But just keep doing what you are doing, live life to the fullest!!! And don't be   scared of death. Here's a quote that might help you feel better-" Everything turns out okay in the end. If its not okay, then its not the end." and that's true!!!! :)

  12. no, I am not afraid of death. I am curious as what made you afraid of death? Did you experience death of someone close?

  13. Like most, I am not afraid of death just the manner of my dying. I hope that it is peaceful and with minimum pain or trauma. As to what happens once I am dead that is the easy part in my opinion. I will either enter oblivion in which case I will be aware of absolutely nothing, or I will go "elsewhere" and meet up with those who have gone before me.

It's great that you have such a joy of living, don't let thoughts of death occupy your mind, there will be plenty of time for that when it happens.

A very good evening to you too. x

  14. Whats the point of worrying!

Just get on with your life, and enjoy it, while you can.

  15. I totally believe that after we die, it's either the beautiful gates of heaven or the terrifing gates of h**l that we enter through. Depending on how you want to spend an "eternity!" (think about it - eternity!) is I believe impacted on how you live your life for say 70-80 yrs. And even if i'm wrong (if that's what your thinking), and we end up just rotting in the ground, is it worth the risk of doing what you want, and ending up in the wrong place if there is a heaven and a h**l?

I'm a Christian so I know that I will be spending an eternity in heaven~! WOOHOO! we are only here for a short time. I want to make the most of it doing God's will for my life. Why waste it!

P.S. Death still scares me at times too! The fear of losing my family, etc....but then I come to remember that I will be seeing them all again - forever - in heaven (they are christians too).

I hope this was helpful :)

  16. i'm terrified of dying. but more scared of leaving the ones i love

  17. You're so young, and you have a distorted conception of death.  I used to be chilled to the bone at the thought of none existence, but as you grow older, you begin to accept that life will end.

Later in life, I believe that people can actually want to die, when life has nothing left to offer, other than pain and misery.

I was with my Dad for 24 hours per in hospital during his last three days of life. I was with him when he died.  I know that for several weeks before, he had actually 'had enough of living', and even welcomed the idea that it would all soon be over.

Death is nothing more than another stage in the great circle of life, even a part of life itself.

It can also depend upon whether you have a faith to believe in, and a belief in the life here after.

Enjoy your life, and when death finally comes, many years from now, as long as you can give a good account of yourself when you go to your maker, you will have nothing to fear.

  18. I died when i was 7, i was out for 10 mins and had no pulse, i drowned in my local pond. i remember feeling at peace and feeling warm and comfy, it was a wonderful feeling, dont worry hun, death comes to us all no matter what, theres no escape :-) x*x

  19. eh...death is overrated...but yes, every1 fears it at some point, which would be now 4 you, and you will get over it, i promise!

but the good thing a/b death is, you only experience it once! lol!

  20. Is life so good to you that you don't want to die?  Death is the relief of every pain, every bit of sadness and debt; every moment of self-consciousness or of witnessing people being mean to others.

Death is no longer worrying...about death or whatever it is you are worried about today.  I am not afraid.  I welcome death.  Death is sleep with no alarm clock.  There is nothing to be afraid of if you have done what you wanted while alive.
