I think they will sign Sundin. He is a smart veteran, which Detroit loves, and he will be willing to sign for cheap because his time is running out to win a cup. And theres no way they will spend the kind of money for Hossa that other teams will be willing to. They dont need him

Of those three, Rolston is the likeliest of candidates.  But, like someone pointed out, Detroit does not need another goal scorer, they have enough.  They need a more physical presence, Downey and McCarty are all well and good, but they need someone like a Shanahan (but not him) or Roenick type of player.  Someone who can play everyday and provide the toughness.

Sundin would be a nice fit, but word has it that the recently released Todd Burtuzzi wants to return to the Wings.  He would certainly help replace the physical presence that is lost by the retirement of Dallas Drake.  He can also kick in 20 goals or so on a team like Detroit!  Every year that he has played in 70 or more games...he has scored 25+ goals.

Detroit is in the great position that players want to play there.  They are willing to take lesser rolls, and lesser money to be with the team that is best built to win the Cup!  I have a feeling that Bertuzzi is the one that will be coming to Hockeytown!

Detroit needs another goal scorer?  Only 2 teams scored more goals than Detroit last season.  They have some young guys on the team that have scored more and more goals each season and will probably continue to add more goals to their totals this comming season.  I don't see Detroit adding any big names to the Roster at all.  I'd rather see them continue to develop the talent they have and few teams have more of the players they drafted playing regular minutes than Detroit.

They dont need another goal scorer. They have a bunch of guys that were "ok" but r growing to be great players (Hudler, helm, kopecky, franzen, filipula). The red wings will stay with who they got, maybe add another cheaper guy. But out of those 3 guys, the red wings are most likely to get rolston. Sundin is going to montreal and hossa will go to a not so good team
