it is Japanese people killing hundreds of dolphins to eat AND people in Iceland killing blue whales AND people in Russia and Norway killing whales

I hear your pain. Unfortunately, different cultures view treatment of animals differently. Dogs...yes dogs are a staple in China as food. The Japanese,Russians and Norwegians are not going to change their moral  compasses because of how Americans view their pets. The best thing that any animal lover can do is treat animals well in their little part of the world.

Sounds good.....How are you going to stop them?  

They have been eating whales and dolphins for thousands  of years.....If you stop whale / dolphin hunting..... millions of people will be put out of work......millions will starve.....

What is your solution......HOW will you stop the slaughter?    How will you feed the people?

What "action' should we do ??? ??Write a nasty letter to a Japanese dolphin fisherman?...... Boycot anything made in Russia or Norway ?..... seems like they can sell their products elsewhere......Sorry.....I do not see ANYTHING that will stop the slaughter except "extinction"

BTW..... I do not hunt or fish because I do not like killing.....but you need to be realistic.....when it comes to money or their personal desires, the world does not care......If all the blue whales disappeared tomorrow.....they would just start killing off some other species..... ever hear of the Dodo......or the Passenger Pigeon

Hundreds of species are slaughtered everyday because someone said if you eat XXXX it will improve your s*x life..... so x*x becomes the next animal to become extinct.....

we can't control what others do, but we can act as role models. that is just what america is about, isn't it?

I say that we should just stop all killing.... why is it ok to kill some animals but not other.. because they are just soooo cute or what?? I like deers.. they are cute.. yeah but they eat the vegetation so it isn't good they "over multiply" .. well the whales eat the fish.. in big numbers.. and our country is highly built on the fishing industry... so it isn't good they "over-multiply" either.. i know that there aren't many of them... but there is enough, and that's why icelanders aren't hunting them like deers in deer-season, killing bunch..!

I agree that dolphins and whales shouldn't be hunted for food. They are very intelligent animals and I think there should be an international scheme worldwide to protect our animals from extinction. Not just dolphins and whales but all animals should be universally protected.

Is it ok if I fish for Bluegills? If that's ok, then sign me up. What action do you have in mind? Walking around in the street with a sign doesn't seem to work very well.
