Suigetsu Hozuki

Sasuke freed Suigetsu from being one of Orochimaru's experimentation subjects after defeating latter.  Sasuke recurited him into his 'Snake' team because of his unique abilities, but Suigetsu seems to have his own reasons for follwing him.  Although he gets along well withh Sasuke, Suigetsu constantly tests Karin's nerves and itches to have a battle to the death with Jugo.

  Suigetsu hails from the Hidden Village in the Mist and was once Zabuza Momochi's apprentice.  He highly respected Zabuza as a sensei and even shares the same sharpened teeth as him.  After joining up with Sasuke, Suigetsu retreived Zabuza's cleaver sword from his grave site and made it his own.  He insists on wielding the gigantic blade despite lacking the stamina to haul it around all the time.

  The full extent of his abilities are unknown but most likely involves Water element based abilities and jutsus. Suigetsu has shown the ability to turn his body into liquid form.   His ability to alter the size of different parts of his body may be also attributed to the latter ability.  Suigetsu also appears to need to continuously consume water because of his low stamina.

Karin

Sasuke recruited Karin into his 'Snake' team because of her uncanny ability to track individuals through chakra over long distances and with high accuracy.  Karin was one of Orochimaru's suboordiantes and head of the North Hideout where many of Orochimaru's Cursed Seal experiments took place.  She remained loyal to Orchimaru even after it was unclear whether he was defeated by Sasuke.  However, when Sasuke approached her, she had no hesitation in joining the team because she has a big crush on him.  Suigetsu has hinted that Karin was involved in experimentation on Sasuke but it was unclear what exactly she did.  In truth, Karin wants to travel with Sasuke alone, especially since Suigetsu constantly gets on her nerves.  She has demonstrated a temperment similar to Sakura and may also possess enhanced strength and possibly medical ninjutsu skills.

Jugo was an important test subject at Orochimaru's North Hideout before Sasuke released him.  Jugo is the origin of the Cursed Seal ability.  His body produces special enzymes which allow him to transform his body into a monstrous creature of violence and destruction.  Orohimaru kept Jugo confined and extracted his enzymes to create his Cursed Seals.  However, it was Jugo who orginally apporached Orochimaru to keep him locked up because he could not control his own bloodlust.  

  Although Jugo is quite calm and collected in his regular state, he is also highly unstable.  The enzymes in his body can drive him into a frenzy, and previously the only way for him to alleviate his bloodlust was to kill someone.  However, Sasuke has demonstrated the ability to calm Jugo down with a simple glare.  Whether this is an effect of the Sharingan is unknown.
