Who believes in vampires?

who here believes in vampires? i believe there are probably a few, but not like any other stories are telling us they are like. i think anything is possible, so i have an open mind to it! just tell me what you think! i'd like to know what the vast majority of people think about it...

A lot of cultures around the world believe in beings that are similar to the western idea of vampirism, the most famous being the locals of Romania who believe that people can revisit their loved ones or enemies and 'haunt' them after death, but in corporeal form. In Western society, there has been a huge interest in vampires because they seem to connect with human ideals of immortality, as well as evil with the possibility of goodness. In America, there are select groups of people, usually teenagers, that believe they 'are' vampires, and use terms like 'awakening' to describe their normal feelings of interest in morbidity and death. People like this do drink blood, often of special donors. This carries the risk of HIV and other blood borne viruses etc. Unfortunately, the beautiful gothic idea of the immortal, unseen vampire is lost on these 'fake vampires', who (studies show) mostly have disorders like depression and schizophrena and/or a history of abuse or trauma. If you are like me, you will be happy imagining that there may be real vampires out there instead of being sucked into dangerous and immature cults.

Oh wow. You Twilight people better give it a rest. I just answered a question about beleiving in vampires just a few minutes ago. There are NO SUCH THINGS AS VAMPIRES! That's as close to talking down to you as I can get online. You are an IDIOT! Why would you want to think they are real? Strange. People that never die, and walk around sucking blood out of people, via their neck? Yeah...they're real alright! Do you think that the tooth fairy is real too? Vampires are very very possible. I believe people can get energy from blood. Blood of any kind, but of course, human blood probably has more energy in it. However, I think vampires arent really as portrayed in stories of movies, they're very much more discreet. well thats just what i think. :)

Yes, I believe that there are several types of vampires. Different species I guess you would say. From the psychic to blood feeding and then into the demonic range. They are out there.

I don't count the ones who play dress up.

Real vampires are people who need to take in more vital energy than normal people do. They aren't immortal or supernatural. Psychic vampires and sanguinarian (blood-drinking) vampires are pretty much the same. They just feed in different ways. Both still eat regular food. Both are just people with a weird energy imbalance. Both are not usually goths or emos.

Fresh blood is rich in pranic energy, so that's what sanguinarians get out of it. Psychic vampires can get vital energy from drinking blood too. Energy-wise, psi-feeding is usually like drinking iced tea, but blood is like a double espresso shot. (I've never drank blood, but some of my friends have.)

I've met many real vampires. I have friends who are real vampires. I'm psi-vampiric myself.

Vlad was a ruler in Romania who liked to kill people and impale them. He liked to watch them die. He dined while watching hundreds of people die in agony. It is said he dipped his bread in their blood as he dined.

I guess psychopaths are kinda like vampires, so there you go. We have plenty of these wonderful people walking around today. Some of them like to drink blood, some of them partake in necrophilia, and some of them are cannibals. Whatever floats their boat I guess.
