Who buys the oil??

Question

Like if there is oil in Saudia Arabia, who buys it?

The American goverment or the private companies (Mobil, Shell,ect)

I highly recommend the video of Lindsey Williams-you can see it on youtube or Googlevideo. He is an excellent speaker and he will shed quite a bit of light on the subject...he knows of which he speaks. The video is of him, where he had spoken at a conference October, 2007; he documents it all in his book "The Energy Non-Crisis" which is also the title of the video presentation. first off, you need to understand that we are still in an "oil based" economy. Oil are used not only for energy but for other things (the side products of oil exploration also used in other industries like cosmetic, rubber plant etc).

So, whenever there is oil inside the country, the government in that country will try to get it. If they have the infrastructure & technology they will do it themselves or they will engage with oil service company or ask the international oil company to get them and engage in what's normally called a 'production sharing' contract., meaning for every 1 barrel of oil extracted 70% belongs to the government while 30% belongs to oil company (% may differ from country to country/ cases to cases).
