  1. im a van driver and yes other van drivers can annoy you but i try to stay calm and enjoy the job

  2. You have to drive like a Sunday driver ...nice and steady however you need eyes like hawks and patience of an angel .....yet even us get it wrong sometimes ..sorry

  3. yes, being on the road all day is tiring, so take a break every few hours. as a class 1 hgv driver, i have to take a 45 minute break  every 41/2 hours, but i try to stop more often if i have time. you need patience,  consideration of others, and you also need to be aware of whats going on around you at  ALL times. observation is the key to being safe. courtesy goes a long way also. having said that, sadly not every one follows these tennets for safe driving, and as others have said, even we proffesionals make mistakes. then, we do work long hours, drive quite a distance and many of us spend up to five nights a week sleeping in our cabs at the side of noisy roads.

  4. fardy nails this one!

  5. If you let other drivers bother you, you'll burn out very quickly.  Be professional, drive defensively, and always look for a way out in case of a problem.

It helps to adopt the Oklahoma method of driving.  Drive friendly, and when the little old gray haired lady is doing 45 in the 65, say "Bless her heart" and stay out of her way.
