  1. if you got tan than people will think you are a pacific islander, which is still asian so it doesn't matter.

  2. for what? this doesnt make sense..

  3. You could try that.

Or maybe just embrace it...and use it to your advantage..

    It works in some cases!

  4. My mother has dark skin and people often mistake her for a mexican, she just tells them that she's not and people will believe her.

  5. Work it to your advantage :P

To answer your question, yeah, I believe you would be mistaken less often, but not a dramatic amount.  Like, if your skin way VERY TAN, then I don't think anyone would suggest you to be of Chinese, Korean, Japanese descent.

Like, I'm tan/dark-skinned, and yet people still mistake me for Chinese, Japanese, but that's only due to their ignorance :/

  6. It depends on how you actually look (like shape of face, eyes, nose, mouth, chin, body & hair color). Probably they will just add malaysian, singaporean or vietnamese on your list. Not because you're tan doesn't mean people will start associating you for another nationality. But one thing is for sure, people will always see you as an asian.

  7. well, if you still have the 'asian eyes' (which i think are pretty cool), then i doubt it. evern if your skin was more tan. or maybe they would mistake you for being hispanic then.

    what are you really?
