Who is the thief???

Question

A king has ordered 10jewelers to made 10rings each(total=100rings)!

Each ring should be 10g.(ie 1jeweler will have 100g in total;10jewelers,1000g)

One jeweler has steal 1g from each ring.(ie he will have a total mass of 90g)

Now you are the investigator,and you are asked to find the thief.you are given an electronic balance which you are allowed to used ONLY ONCE!the 10 jeweler are lined;

how would you find the real thief?

You weigh 1 ring from jeweler 1, 2 from jeweler 2, etc. The total weight should be 55*10g = 550g. The difference between the weight and 550g is the jeweler number that cheated :)

put 1 ring from each jewler on the scale at same time.remove 1 at a time.when the weight only drops 9 g,you have your theif.as useing at the same time =1 use of scales
