Who is your favourite Greek writer?

Soti Triantafyllou, Christo Homenidis, I think  I can  add Jeffrey Eugenides as eventhough he was born in the States and I don't think he speaks Greek his DNA is Greek (oh, well.. : ))

INthe ancients it would be.EURIPIDES&AESOP...modern greek writer would be KAZANTZAKIS,ELYTIS,& ALL THE comic writers of old FINOS FILMS..becuase they managed to catch and deliver true essence of post modern greeks growing to a flurshing national country to fit in to todays society in every ascpect .

I can't say who's my favorite  I can't comper Kazantzakis with lets say Kavafis or Lili Zogrfou with Dido Sotiriou.I don't understand why ,but lately I started reading books I read many yeas ago.Kavafis is the writer I read now and I see his writing so very different that I used to .Yia sou.

I've read only one book written by a Greek writer, his name was Kostas Tahtsis... It was a good book.

Oh, and of course Nikos Kazantzakis... Zorba the Greek... I read the book and saw the movie.

Don't really know any others.
