As an aussie i feel like i'm not welcome there and it's stupid because this is Australia not Vietnam.

They all stare at me when i walk down the street...

Springvale is fine...it does have a large Vietnamese community which is a part of Melbourne's multicultural fabric.

It has some great shopping for all sorts of things in the area.

For those who are uncomfortable, yes this is Melbourne and this is a part of the city.  If you're uncomfortable with this sort of multiculturalism head to Sydney which is less accepting of these things.

the moment i touched melbourne, the word 'springvale' flooded around asian...saying...you got to go there for asian food etc...

this is my third year in melbourne and i have yet to be there...and honestly, dont intend to...

i stayed in Frankston for the first couple of years...and i survive..~despite all the negative feedback about frankston. i actually prefer it there as compared to the current place i am staying , clayton.
