Who pays for his grave?

my husband heard "through the grapevine" today that his father is in poor health. we were wondering who would pay for funeral expenses considering his father has never been in his life. my husband hasn't seen him since he was 10. (over 14 years ago) my husband is his only child but we don't think it would be right to have to pay for the funeral. hid father didn't even pay child support!

No one is going to force your husband to pay funeral or burial expenses.  Worst case scenario: no one pays. The state will bury him without charging you.
