In a game of field hockey, if getting in between two passing players on the opposing team is an obstruction, how do you get the ball..

  2. you jab at the ball instead of going towards them and hitting their stick to get the ball. Jabbing always works

    plus stay a little back from them because they'd most likely will lose the ball in a few seconds leaving you with the ball

  3. If you are getting called for obstruction for this, you may want to give the umpire some advice! If 2 players are coming at you passing between each other, try to keep the ball on the left hand side player (your right), it is harder to pass and attack on backstick side. keep between them, and close enough that as soon as small mistake, poke tackle. Best outcome here- get the ball cleanly. Worst- give away a free hit for obstructing. Better to give away a free hit than have them get past you!
