Who should they play for?

I just read an article in yahoo's cricket section which you can find here

What is your opinion on this issue? say for example if NZ was playing a test series but Chennai wanted Jacob Oram to play for them in the Champions League, if you were/are a Kiwi, how would you feel about this?

I think this comes down to -Where do their loyalties lay?...

If they are contracted to play for their country in a match well then they should play for their countries,not represent some other team in front of their own..

they should  play for their country of course.The agreement was the country came came first before IPL, but India seem to have forgotten that.Mind you I don't know what NZs agreement with their players was, but I do know what CAs agreement with our players is.

My heart says their country. My head says: whoever pays the most money.

Playing for your country is all very well, and that is who you, I and most others think the players should choose.

But wait a minute! If someone was dangling unheard of riches in front of you, would you turn it down for the honour of representing your country?

I think eventually, money will talk.

I wouldn't be happy seeing my country's best players choosing to play for money rather than patriotism, but sadly that is the reality of life.

hey country comes first

It would have been a very easy choice for me . This is so rude why BCCI cares about money only Cricket should not be about just one nation Also it was ensured that IPL teams will not affect the national duties. If such selfishness continues side then this will spoil the game of Cricket. BCCI has to be stopped

If I Dont play for my country in such a situation in such a situation then shame on me

The one who is in such a situation should give the first preference for his Country more than any one.
