In many cases, it is an attempt to establish dominance over another person.  Many can only obtain this type of feeling through an antisocial and unlawful act such as rape.

They cannot establish any control or dominance in their everyday life, so they must resort to aberrant behavior to achieve it.

I guess when a man is really horny and at the same time emotionally distressed or feeling hopeless, possibly for similar reasons a guy would suddenly rob a liquor store if he was hungry/poor..that's just speculation though idk for sure
