Why Filipinas have different looks?

I was in the Philippines for a few days and I wonder why I saw two different kinds of Filipino beauties. In Manila, ladies are darker and they do have bigger eyes while in Benguet and Baguio, ladies are very fair with almond shaped eyes and rosy cheeks? I haven't stayed long in the Philippines to know more about Filipinos.

We were conquered and influenced by many cultures during the 1800's so it's very surprising to find a pure filipina nowadays.

Years of certain races breeding in different parts of the pines which would result in quiet a large difference between the regions. Plus don't forget all the environmental and social variables that can be put into this. For example it could be more sunny in one part or depending on their diets and even the amount of beauty products that are available to certain groups.

The highlanders, Cordillerans, were never conquered by the Spaniards so they retain their Malay looks (they almost look Japanese), tradition, and culture while the lowlanders were colonized by the Spaniards during the 16th century.

you have to take into account the provincial history of the islands. We were settled by aboriginial tribes, spanish, chinese, korean, malaysians, africans, even a group from india, japan had there footprints set on the islands as well. Then with the US and other western influence and tourism there begat much more genes in our islands genepool.

Since the Philippines have been conquered by Spain and America, its probably the reason why women, and men (probably) look different from each other. Also, there are some Chinese-Filipino looks. Some Filipino women look Latina or something like that cause of some part of them is Spanish. Many cultures have mixed up here in the Philippines making them look different from each other. Ex. katrina halili looks very different from normal filipino women

we belong to different ethnic groups, we the people from the Cordillera Region has been dominated by the Americans rather than conquered by the Spaniards.which is why the Protestant church or Anglican is more dominant there rather tahn Catholicism, but prior to that, the Japanese also married some Cordillerians which explains the almond eyes. rosy cheeks because were fairer than some Filipinas.

in manila,it was the Spaniards who came to conquer them thus explains the color.

maybe it would help, if you would brush through our country's history and socio-economic background..been a colony of spain for quite some time, so some people have hispanic features,..had the US bases in the north, so we have "whites" and "blacks" too. Some early Chinese and Indian traders decided to stay and blended in through the years. And our leaders being too busy with politics, somehow neglected the country's economic development, so people in search for progress seek  opportunities elsewhere, some of them come back with foreign partners, and raise an "interracial family".
