Why animals not having green colour?

  1. Because green is for grass and leaves and you'd end up using all the green colouring crayons if animals were green too.

    Mind you, if you take a look at the sloth, they have a green tinge to their fur.

    Unfortunately this is not natural colouring, but due to certain bacteria that live on their fur, haha.  :-)

  3. animals like us (humans) aren't green like plants because we don't contain chlolopyll.

  6. Color of animal is due to melanin and other animal pigments. Some frogs, parrots, fish, reptiles etc are gree in colour. Plant color is due to chlorophyll a,b, xanthophyll etc and meant for photosynthesis. Some photosynthetic bacteria also exist. Most of the animals get their food from lower animals or plants and hence colour doesnt affect their food habits.
