Why are flamingos pink?

Question

obviously it's not for camouflage, so why are they pink?

It is like a tropical bird and they are bright colors so it is the way god made them.  Do not stress.

A well-fed, healthy flamingo is more vibrantly coloured and thus a more desirable mate. A white or pale flamingo, however, is usually unhealthy or malnourished.

they are pink because that eat mass abounts of krill and krill is pink. so it turns there feathers that color. Thats the reason why some flamingos are a more brilliant color than others too. I love flamingos.

They are pink because they eat tiny shrimp called Krill. these Krill are pink, because of the iodine that is in thier bodies. The flamingos eat them, and take on the properties due to iodine transfer!
