  1. because god didn't want you to have a higher chance of going blind. or maybe just because the trait didn't get passed on to you.

  2. Because the blue gene is recessive. If your Mum or Dad have Blue eyes but you don't it's because your have the brown eyed gene which is dominant. Therefore you have brown not blue.

Btw the first answer is wrong, both your parents don't have to have blue eyes for the blue eyed gene. The dominant Gene just doesn't have to be present. For example Brown eyes- big B, Blue eyes little b. If say your Dad has Bb eyes- therefore brown eyes as Brown is dominant and your Mother bb- blue eyes. Say you get the little b from your Dad and the little b from your mum you will have blue eyes. But it's only like a one in four chance.

  3. Actually for you to have blue eyes, one of your parents can have brown eyes and one could have blue also.

  4. genetics...???

  5. maybe because you didn't inherit the genes, from you're parents! my dad has gray eyes and i didn't get them, even though, i got mostly every thing else from him, like skin color, bone structure, dimples on my cheeks, etc...

  6. uh

  7. for a person's eyes to be blue, both their parents' eye color have to be blue, too. something with genetics..?

  8. Blue eye colour is a recessive gene. I think. If you have brown, it's because it's a dominant gene.
