Question:

Why are people PRO-POLLUTION?

Okay, so even if you have some hate of Al Gore that makes you refuse to do any research into the science of global warming.

Why would you want to fight against any effort that people make to reduce pollution? It's been PROVEN that new technology creates jobs, and new clean technology will boost our economy. It's been proven that we are running out of oil, so why would you people fight to find new fuels?

Even if you don't believe ANYTHING, looking into the LA valley or NY skyline on a cloudy day will show you all the pollution. And it doesn't take TOO many brain cells to know that burning oil causes pollution. So why would anyone try to act like it's fake and that we don't need to change?

And why would you come to a global warming site just to rant about it?

And do you guys do any research ever? How do you discount the findings of scientists all over the world?

  1. I don't believe in global warming, it is a total myth but I'm not "pro pollution". It takes a complete fool to be that. Co2 is not a pollutant, things like bug spray are pollutants. They are dangerous chemicals, NOT CO2.

  2. Because only if corporations are allowed to do whatever they want will our lord be pleased.

  3. I don’t know anyone who is Pro Pollution, but I do know lots who criticize Al Gore, rightly so. He has made CO2 an issue that is exploited by world governments to raise taxes for their own profiteering ends.

To tax the people for intangibles, is like taxing people for breathing air. It has an insidious effect on the free markets, and makes them an easy target for “the global warming religions”, that are based on fiction and not facts.

  4. i don't go around throwing my garbage out my window when i drive down the road, and i don't believe in global warming. so your logic doesn't work if it did as you stated i would be throwing my garbage out the window and stuff like that, because i don't believe the global warming myth.

not believing in global warming does not equate into being pro pollution sorry. it is just common sense to pick up your garbage and dispose of it properly. it is common sense to turn off the lights in a room when you don't need them. i drive a truck and when it's not to cold or hot i turn the motor off again common sense. i walk when i can, but not to help the environment, but because it makes sense to walk the 3 blocks when i go to the store if i am just getting a few things i can carry.i do things because it makes sense or i want to not to save the earth. i do as much or more to help the environment using common sense than you greens do with thinking about it.

  5. who are "you people"?

you are creating a straw man and it's quite ridiculous.

The FACT that man made Global warming is not real doesn't mean I don't care about the environment.

You can still care about pollution, the environment, polar bears, etc without believing in the fairytale of AGW.

I'm not at all against you making changes in your lifestyle to help the environment. I hope you do.  I have.

But I do detest a heavy-handed, government-imposed plan to tax, regulate, and restrict the rights of free people on this planet. --Especially for unproven theories like AGW.

  6. I don't believe that people are pro-pollution. I think people just don't have any way to make the changes in their lives to be green. Most people in our area have to commute to work - two or three hours on the freeway every day. They have to work and they are comfortable with the job and income that they have. Burning oil and gas isn't the only pollution causes.  Having a fire in your back yard while visiting with friends or filling the BBQ with charcoal or even using an LPG grill causes pollution. Burning anything other than hydrogen causes pollution. We don't have practical ways to switch over to burning hydrogen in our daily lives. We can't all afford hydrogen and electric cars. We have no way to transport the goods and materials that we use everyday other than trucks.

If you have to pay three times as much for a car and twice the price for electricity and twice the price for water could you afford to live? Would you pay twice the price for a home to make sure it was self sufficient or an earthship rather than an energy compliant home?

Being green costs a lot of money - money that some of us need for groceries.

When the scientists can all agree on the causes of the problem and someone comes up with an economical way to cure it then we will all be on board to save the planet. Scientists are saying that the Sun is warming up and that is the reason for global warming. If you look at the Earth's weather in the past it has swung from desert hot to ice age very quickly and cycled back and forth that way for a long time. We have been very fortunate that the earth has been so stable for so long but there are natural cycles that we cannot affect - Like the hole in the Ozone - which the scientists of the NOAA organization have confirmed as a natural cycle. World weather could be just part of the natural cycle. Right now we don't know what the causes are. We can and should cut down on pollution as much as we can but have you done all you can? Do you own an electric or hybrid car? Do you own or rent a green home? Do you ride your bike or walk to work and /or school? Do you burn wood just to have a fire at gatherings? Do you use compact flourescent lights in your home? Better yet do you use the LED technology that uses even less power than the CF lights? Are you using gas to cook with or electricity? how about your water heater, gas or electric or instant hot water?

Instead of asking why others are pro-pollution you should be asking what you are doing to make it better.

  7. Your question disturbs me.Who is fighting efforts to curb pollution.I am picturing a gaggle of scruffy men in red plaid shirts dumping barrels of used motor oil into the sea nearby to a beach full of seagulls.Clearly as a society we need to find new and improved ways to transport ourselves and power our factories and meet all the energy needs of our ever growing society. You know as well that any resource we tap will have a down side, including solar ,wind, geothermal, hydro electric, oil.People speak out agents Global Worming because they fer it is a plot by the government to curb there freedoms and take control of there lives.

  8. Exactly my question. It's like accepting global warming will make it more real, and they are afraid of that, because the world is eventually going to 'die', along with us, and them. Good question, I wonder if any people who don't accept global warming are going to answer.

  9. Okay..... If Al Gore wants to stop looking like a buffoon, then he should change his 'cause' (income source) from 'ManBearPig'...... I mean.... 'Man-Did-It Global Warming' to 'Clean Air' or 'Let's Pick up Litter'.

The "new technology" that you speak of has created new jobs, but at what expense?  Look at the Ethanol scam......Taxpayers are subsidizing the BuhGeezus out of that joke..... ethanol ends up causing more pollution than regular gas after all of the process is added up.  BUT gullible folks jumped on that bandwagon like a fat boy on a cupcake!
