Why aren't my tomatoes ripening?

We have a bunch of tomato plants and the tomatoes are full grown but they won't ripen. I thought maybe they weren't in a sunny enough spot but my cherry tomatoes that get full sun are staying green too. What's going on?

It would really help if you told us what zone you're in & weather conditions.  If it's too hot tomatoes will just not make it.
