  1. Bolivia have this name becouse your revolutionary  lider name was Bolivar (Simóm Bolivar, the Liberator)  At 1824 was anunciated the independence and adoptede the name Bolívia.

Bolivia was first called Republic of Bolivar and that name was chosen on 1,825 by the first bolivian parliament that gather for the first time in La Paz, this to commemorate the revolutionary lider and later first president of this country, Simon Bolivar. Later on 1826 this was changed to the current name Republic of Bolivia.

    'Bolivia', the correct name of the country comes from "Simón Bolívar",  who was the Liberator of several countries in South America.
