Question:

Why can't I access attachments?

One of my groups regularly sends schedules as attachments, and apparently no one else has any problem with it cause I've never heard anything about it. But I can never access the attachment, either through the email account where I receive Yahoo groups messages or on the groups website itself. I go to the message, and there simply is no indication that there is an attachment at all. Why, and what can be done? I think the admins are getting tired of having to send the schedule to me personally every time..

  1. you can only get attachments if your mail setting is individual mail. not sure what mail server you're using, maybe you disabled attachments due to possible viruses (and many do this)

yahoo does not store them in posts/ archives however.

  2. Yahoo strips attachments before messages get to the group site. Change your email delivery for that group to Individual Emails.  Messages will be delivered one at a time to your email inbox and you will be able to see the attachments in messages.  This is how to do that:

    Sign in to your group.

Toward the top of the screen, click on Edit Membership.

Scroll down to Step 2. Message Delivery.

Click one time in the blank circle in front of Individual Emails

Click on Save Changes located at bottom of page.
