Question:

Why do I have cable?

I have been receiving cable for the last 2 years without paying a dime. The reason I think that I am receiving it is because I am also ordering comcast cable internet and no its not a package. I have a panasonic ambilight 42inch if that means anything.

So what I want to know is if I will stop receiving the free tv cable if I switch off comcast cable internet (seeing how its 60+ dollars a month now) to a better company.

  1. I'm not sure about your specific interntet/cable provider, but I've heard of many companies not switching off cable in apartments b/c they just assume that the next renter will activate it.  That way they don't have to make an extra trip out to turn it on.  I had cable in one of my rooms at my old apartment and we never paid, and my sister had the same thing.  I've heard of many other people in the same situation.  The best thing you can do is try to change the internet.  It might not affect it or it might. I guess the question you have to ask yourself is if it's worth it to you to have "free cable" and internet, or better internet risking cable you have to pay for.
