"dilated" spelled "dialated"

I'm not being a spelling n**i or anything, just wondering where in the heck that came from???

  1. Probably because people hear it as die-a-late-ed.  Not die-late-ed.  It is a very commonly misspelled word.

    Plus, they don't pay attention to the spelling check on the side!
