Why do I yawn so much?

I can't seem to stop yawning throughout the day! I'm 19, I get about 8-10 hours of sleep per night so I'm not tired, I am not bored, and I seriously doubt I have a fatal disease! Any thoughts?

  1. do some sport activities and try sleep 7 - 8 hours . don't wake up too late in the morning.

  2. There is not enough oxygen going to the brain. Get fresh air and walk around for a minute.

  3. I had a similar problem.  I would have episodes of yawning those huge stretching yawns and never felt like it had helped.  This would continue several days.  The doctors found that it was linked to allergies I was developing, which in turn were linked to asthma.  I rarely have them anymore, but I'm also now on an asthma medication.  They never really explained why it was happening, however, they just said if the asthma medicine helped, then it was probably linked to the asthma somehow.

  4. Ummm, maybe there's such a thing as chronic yawning. Look it up or something.

  5. sleep dis order
