They are poorly desiged & built. & they are STILL rear wheel drive! Noisy & uncomfortable on a long trip. All I can think is that they buy them to break the law with burn outs.speeding & donuts Every second car crash is a Commodore So whats the go?

  1. You know, as a Ford guy (I mean I work at Ford in Dearborn, MI) and I've got to say the Commodore is a slick looking car. That's probably why it's being rebadged and sold here as the Pontiac G8. I test drove one the other day and it wasn't any louder than my 2001 Ford Maverick. And I thought it was rather comfortable. It felt rather well put together to me, and very sturdy.

Though, like I said, I'm a Ford guy, and I'd take the new Falcon over the Commodore/G8. But they're both really slick looking cars.

As for rear wheel drive, I LOVE having rear wheel drive. Not necessarily from a driving point (they're a pain to drive in the winter) but from a mechanical point. It's a lot easier to work on the underside of a rear wheel drive car than a front wheel drive car when you have the transmission in the way.

  2. whats a commodores

  3. They've never been the same since Lionel Ritchie left them!!!

  4. so you drive a ford then you poor idiot

  5. What you really need to do is more research on both vehicles and then you will see why people choose the commodores.

  6. If you don't own a car then I don't value your stated opinions.  The only thing I can comment on is rear wheel drive.  RWD is the best drive option.  Here in America we almost completely lost RWD until people finally figured out how good a system it is.  Now almost 30 years later we are finally getting RWD back.  Soon all but the smallest, cheapest cars or those with AWD will be rear wheel drive.  I don't see why you wouldn't like RWD.
