  1. is that with air-con  running? Sounds strange, must be some sort of overload. turn some other things off, such as air-con, and see if it still happens.

I would actually suggest getting an electrician in to check your power load, maybe you need to seperate some circuits, and/or upgrade your main power board.

  2. in ur case....i would think that ur electric company is causing u to have a "brown out"  to much demand in ur area on ur main line and ur getting a voltage drop at the pole.....

    lic. gen. contractor

  3. I'm guessing that your air conditioner is pulling a lot of current. Get an electrician to inspect your wiring: I'm pretty sure he will find problems.

    Good luck.

  4. Your circuit breakers are tripping because of the load placed on them. In the daytime your air conditioner is running, and when you plug something else in on the same circuit that has a reasonably high current draw the breaker trips because of the excess load.

An air conditioner has a fairly high current draw because of the amount of electricity required to run the compressor. Anything that generates heat using electricity, such as an iron or a hair dryer, also has a fairly high current draw.

The easiest way to cure the problem is to plug your iron and hair dryer into a plug on a different circuit from your air conditioner. Moving them into another room, and sometimes on the opposite side of the same room, is enough to move them to a circuit different from your air conditioner.

  5. Breakers trip by a bending bimetalic strip heating up from excess amperage. As they get old they weaken and tend to pass less current than rateing when heated from external source.Try newer breakers.

  6. Well, breakers trip because to much power is going through them.  (amperage to be specific)

If it's different in the summer than maybe the air conditioner is going more, the refrigerator is running more?

Something is being used more often than in the winter.

If its just one breaker, like the one the hair dryer is plugged into you could try an extension cord to another outlet on a different breaker.

If it's the main breaker you have to much connected to the main panel and really should consider having it upgraded if it happens all the time so you can't even use an iron in the summer daytime.  Thats a bit dangerous.
