I am aware that this is a growing problem and I know there are a lot of medications that people can become addicted to.

I was just wondering what benefit people get from these inhalers and in what way are they abused and why?

Thanks in advance for all yours answers.

  1. These inhalers make it much easier to breathe so we can overdo our exercise or whatever. However, they are addictive in that when we don't use them on the schedule we have set then we cannot breathe either.

Over use of them is a disadvantage because when they are needed then they don't work. Something else must be used and that is usually corticosteroids which have a very bad set of side effects.

  2. Many inhalers, those contain steroids. These steroids are meant to shrink the lung tissue to make breathing easier. However, steroids can make you jittery, anxious, and not able to sleep. Some pople for whatever reason like this feeling.
