Why do people hate David Stern?

I'm not saying I like him, but what did he do wrong?

because he enforced a dress code which every one hates and he put a new basketball for a little while there which no one liked either and hes white

i actually love him for the way that he stages every plaoff game and the standing at the end of the season... the nba went from interesting to crooked as soon as he stepped into his office

Well one thing for us old timers, he's really changed the dynamics of watching the NBA.  Yea basketball is more popular than ever, but its popularity increased mostly due to band wagon joining on.  The NBA doesn't have that same feel of the game like it used to.  People who watched the NBA when it was on NBC know what I mean.  Also he seems like a guy who will alter the sport for ratings.
