Why do people hate the Monarchy?

I hear people say that the monarchy is full of fascists and they have the hand in your pocket. But what is the real reason people hate the monarchy. Would you prefer a full Monarchy. Then you can talk about fascism and corruption

Right now the Monarchy is just a joke.  Look at the problems that they have, just like you and I.  Do you see how much Adultry goes on in this Monarchy?  The Queen herself is guilty of Adultry......with the man that looked after her horses.  Look at Prince Andrew (good looking, does not look like his mother or his supposed father), he looked like that horse groomer.  By the way I found out the other day the Queen is still having an affair with the horse groomer.   Then look at Prince Charles goes and fools around with Camilla the night before his marriage to Diana.   And now he is fooling around on Camilla with someone else.  That man needs to be locked into steel underwear.  What kind of a monarchy is that?  Did you know that Prince Charles asked the Queen to step down so he could be King?  She told him that she would step down when she dies.  The monarchy is a joke.  Take Care.

Actually I think that in the United Kingdom and British Commonwealth the Monarchy is loved.

Why should a British child never have the chance of the top job in the country just because it wasn't born into a certain family?

I think I can sum it up for you.  I was in London when Charles and Diana married, and I was talking to a working man on the tube the day before the Wedding.  He asked me why anyone was interested in two people who "hadn't done an honest day's work in their lives, and never would".  

The Royals are paid with taxes (hence the comment about having their hands in the pockets of the common person).  

and they are largely viewed as serving no purpose whatsoever, and they seem to do nothing but look pretty and take up space.  I, personally, don't really believe that, but that's what the people who object to them say.

I think it popular for someone to claim that they dislike the monarchy and for some it's simply a habit.  In reality, I believe that many more really do love their Royal family.

I think it's sheer ignorance. Some immature people think it makes them look cool - wooooooooh, yes - very cool to abuse an institution that has brought stability, national pride etc. They need to grow up. Lots of other countries (including mine, unfortunately) have republics that could learn a lot from the UK monarchy.
