automatically assume that just because someone has a kid with them that it is theirs? Im 18 and I went to the mall and had some lady yell at me bc my 6+7 yr old nephews were playing with the hand dryers in the bathroom, making the air blow on their faces (they were being quiet not obnoxious or anything), and i had my 3 yr old nephew and 2 yr old niece in the bathroom as well...she said "if you can watch your children dont bring them out in public"...seriously what is wrong with people!!

  1. id take it as a compliment. Maybe you look older! you can buy beer!

haha but most people assume that just because you are either their parent or babysitter.  either way they will yell at you

  2. Well, most of the time kids are out in public, they're with their parents.  So I guess that's why people just assume that kids belong to whichever adult they're with.  I guess they don't stop to think that the kids could be with a babysitter, aunt, neighbors, etc.

However... I'm actually glad to hear that people are making comments to the "parents" (or responsible adult) when they see kids misbehaving.  A lot of kids are little monsters these days, and it's annoying to be around them.  But most people won't say anything, because they're afraid of sounding rude or offending someone.  So the parents assume that everyone thinks their little darlings are just adorable... when in reality, people are thinking, "What a brat!"  Maybe if more people start speaking up, it will embarrass parents enough to teach their kids some manners.

Sorry, I know that's not what you wanted to hear, but it's what most people are thinking.

  3. people suck.

  4. Just because they arent your kids you were still responsible for their behavior.

  5. 'cause they're stupid?

I've actually had people think my twin sister&I (( don't know how that happened...we look very alike already. =/ )) were the parents of my niece&nephew.

    We're 15. >___<;

  6. Because so many teenagers are having babies before they are ready, so it is normal to see that, so if you are a teenager with young children, it is easy to assume you are their parent.  What else are they supposed to assume?

Telling someone you don't know how to raise their children in a public place is very rude and presumptuous, though, even if you were the mom of the kids.

  7. some ppl are just ignorant, and not all ( mostly the grouchy ones) but some old people think they know everything.

  8. they're unhappy. People are so rude nowadays

  9. Because more and more teens are having babies.

So, they just assumed they were yours, which was rude to assume.

People can be very rude to people they don't actually know.

Just laugh it off. People are dumb

  10. them old bitties just want to make your life suck eggs ,so theirs dosent seem so sucky . kinda sadd.

    i had the same experience..

  11. I think a better question than that is "Why do people yell at strangers' kids in public?"

And the answer to that is because they're rude and like to interfere.

  12. becuz they see th3n with you and they look like u and automaticly asume theat they are ur children

  13. They were with you, she must've thought you'd be stopping them from doing things like that? (wasting energy)

  14. Ignorance is a common factor in society today. The fact that people have to open their mouths and stick their feet in gives me chills. It is none of peoples business what others do, and if they thought about being considerate for once they wouldnt be yelling at anyone for children being children.

  15. because people are ignorant.  remember the saying "when you assume it makes an a** out of you and me"

  16. b/c people like to interfere and yell tomake themselves feel really important when they're really not. =]

  17. becayse  ur young and stupid

  18. When I was 14 my sister was 8. We were walking on the trail across the street from our house and she was in a mood that day and didn't want to listen to anything I said so when I told her step aside, a bicycle is coming real fast she looked, but decided to run across anyway. The guy hit her, flip over his bike in the air, and cracked her two front teeth in half. While I understand it was a panic moment, I have a baby face and could pass for 12 even now that I'm 18. The guy screams Oh my God I hit your daughter! It was a bit of comic relief before I picked her up and carried her home to my dad.

A few days later I went to the store to buy gushers for ME 'cause I like 'em and the lady said Buying these for you kids? LOL people make me laugh..

  19. that happens all the time to me
