Why do people say that?

I'm a big kid w/ a flat stomach and i'm working on my chest.I look athletic,but when people get mad at me they call me fat or when they are "playing" they call me fat.I'm big but why do they do that?

Because most people don't understand the human body and they people are all built differently.  Most people are used to athletic guys being totally cut and in reality that is not the typical case.  Also people don't always understand that what they say hurts peoples feelings.  From the sounds of it your probably bigger than most people get some confidence and no one will mess with you!

forget about others.

the day you ignore them, they will disappear

because they know it will hurt you're feelings, and they know it will get a reaction from you. Ignore them.

Some people are just mean and cruel and they feel better when they put some one down, like the others said they know it will hurt your feelings so they pick with you on that. Just ignore them or do a come back on them they will shut up! Or just laugh with them and eventually they will stop.
