Why do we laugh at things?

I think its strange that evolution would give us a sense of humor.

When you think about it, its weird that we have a physiological response to absurdity-- we Laugh at nonsense.

Why would we develop that way? How does it benefit us?

    it's also helps people feel happy with out which im sure the suicide rate would be way up

  6. In the animal kingdom a smile is a threatening gesture. It is called a snarl. Humans use hostility and fear as an icebreaker and call it humor. Have you never noticed that humor has a dark side. Comedians go out on stage and KILL, or the act DIES. Humor is no joking matter. But it is better than us really snarling and attacking, which is how humor benefits us. It replaces violence.

    We laugh, we smile, it's all in nature's positive swing.
