Why do we tell strangers?

why do we confinde in total strangers here, but can't tell the people we know.

  1. It's sometimes easier to talk to someone who is not so closely involved.


  2. Strangers don't know any party involved and just hear the situation. They are unbiased, and they can be brutally honest because it really doesn't matter if they hurt your feelings because they don't know you. Also, if they judge you, would you rather be judged by a stranger or have your friends look down at you?

  4. yeah. it's because we don't want to tell the people we know. also we want a variety of oppinions =]

  5. People we meet here are better able to make unbiased comments.

    People who know us already have preconceived ideas about us and expectations we have to live up to. Sometimes we don't tell things to the people we know and encounter in our day to day life because we don't want to worry them, or because we don't want them to think badly of us.

    Here, we can be freer.
