Why do you call Sidney Crosby...?

Why do you call Sidney Crosby Cindy, when Sidney can be a girl name also?

Because people are lame and because Crosby isn't playing for THEIR team.  I know for a fact that if Crosby played for any team that the fans who root for their team would love the fact that Crosby is playing for their city  Yeah he complains and whines sometimes, but so did Gretsky.  It will pass by

Because it's more obvious. Plus, the only well-known female Sidney off the top of my head is the one on that show Alias with Jennifer Garner. Little vague....even for me.

I got a friend that keeps calling him Staci Crosby because of a joke about his wife being named Staci, he laughs so hard because he does it by mistake everytime. Good times! Even though his favorite player is Malkin and his second is the Kid.
