  1. I create because sometimes I can't help it. Like a poem will just start coming to me, and I have to write it down, fast. Sometimes, it's almost like having a baby.

  2. im a starving artist what career?

  3. I do it because I enjoy creating and I enjoy the positive responses I get from people when I share what I've done.  I can think of very little that I enjoy more than these two things.

I haven't made it a career choice, but it does eat up a good chunk of my life that could be used for getting a better career than the one I now have.  So it's a compromise.  I do something easy and relatively meaningless to survive, while doing something that I am passionate about in order to LIVE.

  4. To answer the first part: Why?  Because I can't not.

The passion to create seems to overshadow a lot, but I am not sure that THAT (the passion) will help a person have a career.

  5. Creating is like breathing. If you wait long enough, it will happen.

There are a myraid of ways to get by the uncertainity:

    be very narcissitic

    be in denial

see it as "playing" rather than a carreer choice

    rationalize

    really really love it.

    be masochistic
