Why does everyone speed in california?

i thought the limit was 65, but everyone on the far left lanes of the freeway was going faster, even when it was tracked by radar

Not only in California, here in New York also speed also.

For example, in Long Island, and according to news report from our area, folks driving on Sunrise Highway are speeding over the limit, and they're always impatient.

New Yorkers who drive, especially in Long Island and Westchester County are impatient.

Like they get too close like tailgating which is illegal, or cutting in front of moving buses or making right turn in front of moving buses, or turning right at red.

Here in NY, it's illegal to turn right in red in city otherwise sign noted.

Probably for the same reason everyone else speeds in other locations...to get to their destination faster.
