simeple, why does an aircraft gas turbine engine need lubrication? what are the advantages?

Gas turbines need lubrication because the compressor and the turbines are mounted on a central shaft which passes through the engine as this shaft rotates at 30,000 +rpm serious lubrication is required. The advantages are that the central shaft is well balanced so less strain and the main one being that the oil does not come into contact with the combustion process so in fact the oil doesn't degrade.

  3. If they didn't then the compressor shaft would seize in flight.

  4. Because it's rotating at a high speed (>10,000 rpm), and would rapidly seize without lubrication.

    The advantage is that the engine doesn't destroy itself.
