Why does it matter who attends?

Why does it matter who attends the DNR or the GOP conventions as far as Hollywood celebs and musicians go? Doesn't everyone realize that the majority of them are completely out of touch with reality as well as the average joe?

I have no time for worrying at all about anything having to do with Hollywood.

Celebrity is not about talent--it's about self-promotion.  I guess in that way it's a lot like politics, come to think of it.

One of my favorite speakers at the Democratic convention was the toothless former Republican who used to make picture tubes for the American TV industry who said he was ready to vote for someone who cared more about Barney Smith than about Smith Barney.

I'm still cracking up over that one!  Go Barney!! Go Barack!!

Entertainers are just that, entertainers. Who cares what Madonna, Rush, Brittany or any other "celebrity" thinks? I'm guessing those who take celebrities seriously when it comes to politics are too lazy to do their own homework.
