Why does my oven spark randomly?

about 11pm there was a spark on top of stove. it sounded like a pop. about 45 minutes later it happened again. the last time the oven was used was about 7pm

  1. Easy enough. Random spark by it self. Shoulda, woulda , coulda that stove is repaired by a serviceman or gone.

  3. It sounds like a bare wire or melted wire, shut off breaker and dig around if you can not find it call a service person. leave the breaker off.

It is simply the element..the coil looking thing you set your pans on to cook..they simply slide out and you buy a replacemnt for around 10 dollars..most simply slide out and in..and a few have a single little s***w on a collar to remove...They get old and start burning through, so they are touching metal from a part of the element that is touching the frame of the stove..very simple to replace..i will get you some info here..Here is info on the oven part..the two prongs on your top elements have burnt through..replacement for the  stove top is similar to doing the oven..only easier..

    Here is a picture of one uninstalled..they simply slip right back into the slots they came from..takes every bit of 3 to 5 minutes max to fix..
